Saito & Fujii used a Galleria + First Flash combo on Yoshioka in the first match. This wouldn’t go unnoticed later.
Mochizuki explained the Mochizuki Dojo arrangement to the Hakata fans. He had a bigger point of interest today. Much bigger. Willie Mack! DG has been host to a wide variety of foreign talent but he has never seen a man of his size and girth that can move like he can. He also seems to hold a variety of championships. He wasn’t sure if he had permission to defend them in Japan, but he urged SSW to challenge him. He was bad at English, but young people are supposed to be good with it, so he left SSW to do it himself. SSW revealed he also speaks no English. Yoshioka volunteered to do it with very suspicious English. “Shun Skywalker, your belt, challenge, OK?”. Mochizuki said he could have done that himself! Willie wondered which title he wanted a shot at. SSW replied “1 – 2 – DOUBLE PLEASE”. Mochizuki said it sounded like he was ordering a hamburger. Willie said if he wanted double he would get double foots up his ass. SSW took that as a formal acceptance of the DOUBLE PLEASE challenge. He asked the fans to support him in his efforts to take the titles and Skywalk to all corners of the globe.
Antias interfered and kept the referee occupied long enough for Yoshida to knock out Susumu. He put Ishida on top for the win. He congratulated him on the victory. Beating Susumu Yokosuka is no small feat. It was time for him, in this awful town that stinks of Tonkotsu Ramen, for Ishida to accept their invitation and join Antias. Ishida snapped off a high kick to the side of Eita’s head. His answer was no. They are the ones that disbanded Over Generation. Eita is Dragon Kid’s enemy, so that makes him his enemy because he will continue to fight alongside DK. Antias attacked, but MaxiMuM made the save.
Shimizu was annoyed that the most useless wrestler in the world Naruki Doi was back. Why hasn’t he quit? Doi quickly polled the fans as to who was the useless one. Doi or Shimizu? Doi wasn’t going to quit until he exacted complete revenge on Shimizu. He really should just pack his things and leave now. No one in Hakata wanted to see him. The fans agreed and chanted for him to leave their city. Shimizu pointed out that if Antias left, the show would be over after intermission. Yoshida said as much as he wants to leave this smelly town, he wants to pick up another 3 count over the sold called Dream Gate champion first. He shouldn’t pass up an opportunity to inflict as much pain as possible on him before their match on September 9th. He and Yoshino argued over the stipulation to that match for awhile. Yoshino didn’t understand him. Yoshida kept screaming for him to shut up. Eita got things back on track. He was working behind the scenes to pull off something they will never see coming. Doi said since Antias didn’t seem to want to leave Hakata, they were going to have to have some fights. One piece of advice to Shimizu, leave the talking to Eita. The semifinal & main event winners were standing in the ring. MaxiMum! (Dragon Kid & Kaito Ishida were still in the ring when he said this, which would be important later.)
We are only 3 weeks away from The Gate of Origin 2018 in Sendai. The Dream Gate, Brave Gate, & Triangle Gate title matches have all been set. YAMATO assumed that there would also be a Twin Gate title match, but so far no one has stepped up to accept the call. However! He was watching the opening match live on the Dragon Gate Network and he saw something rather curious. Everyone else saw it too. Someone was provoking them. The fans didn’t seem to have seen it so he directed them to catch the on demand stream when they get home. He called out Ryo Saito and demanded he explain why he used the Galleria. Saito said that he was putting their names out there for a title shot. YAMATO said that he was also a child of Tohoku so he had no problem giving him a title shot, but who was his partner going to be? Clearly YAMATO didn’t see the man standing right next to him. Mr. Don Fujii. YAMATO was skeptical. Saito was a worthy challenger, but Fujii? All he does is bully around the young boys in opening matches. He should go for the Owarai Gate or something. YAMATO provoked him and was answered with a chop and lariat, sending him outside. The title match was later set for Sendai.
Yoshida flew of the handle after losing to another flash pin. Bullshit. He won’t be able to backdoor his way out in Sendai. Yoshino told him that flash pins were always going to be important moves. Genki Horiguchi has been using the backslide to put food on his table for 20 years. In Sendai, he won’t be able to use them. That’s fine. He is the Dream Gate champion. He has plenty of ways to decisively put away the likes of Yoshida.
Yoshino & DK were left in the ring. DK wanted to confirm something. Earlier, when MaxiMuM came out to help them, it was for a certain reason, right? Yoshino had no idea what he meant. Everyone knew what DK meant. Recently there has been a lot of green added to the MaxiMuM black and silver. The other day in Odaiba it was Doi & Yoshino & DK. Yesterday it was Yoshino & DK. Today, right here in Hakata, it was also Yoshino & DK. This can only lead to one thing! Yoshino had no idea what he meant. Masato! Ma-kun! Listen carefully. Earlier in the evening, after Ishida’s match, Doi very clearly said “The semifinal & main event winners were standing in the ring. MaxiMum!”. Dragon Kid & Kaito Ishida were in the ring when he said it. So that must make them…members of MaxiMum!
No it doesn’t. Doi probably didn’t even realize it! DK hypothesized that it just felt natural to include them as members. He also felt that this was Win-Win for everyone. Yoshino wasn’t convinced. They’ve worked together for 18 years now. He’s not sure their lifestyles are compatible. He …kinda doesn’t like him all that much? Doi probably feels the same way. DK was completely undeterred. It can be hard to adjust to new co-workers and there is always a transition phase while they get used to each other. After that they usually start to get along! They should get started on that process! He’s already done some internet research on Ben & Jason so he knows he will like them. It’s win-win! The MaxiMuM music played but Yoshino clearly wasn’t pleased.
Eita knew that deep down the Hakata fans had come to see Antias win. That old, green midget should heed his advice and retire now. No one wants to see him wrestle anymore. Shimizu said the reason for MaxiMuM losing was obvious. Doi just sucks too much! As long as a loser like Doi was around, it would be nothing but losing because he’s a loser! He should pack his things and get out of here. Yoshida also couldn’t wait to get out of this shithole town, but he has one more thing to say. Who does Doi think he is? The Dream Gate match in Sendai hasn’t even happened yet but he is out here challenging for the title. That’s fine. He will just be the next victim of Takashi Yoshida. Doi told him he should keep his focus on Yoshino. If he somehow manages to get beyond then he can start thinking about Doi. Either way, it will be a DoiYoshi main event in Tokyo! He wished Yoshino luck in Sendai and promised to be in his corner.
Attention turned to the events after the semi-final. DK and Ishida had taken it upon themselves to put on MaxiMuM shirts and come to ringside. They should probably take those off. MaxiMuM has 4 members. Doi, Yoshino, Ben, Jason. If they want to be MaxiMuM fans, that is fine, but they aren’t members. DK should also stop with the Doi-chan stuff. DK saw he was in trouble so he felt the best way to rally him would be to start a Doi-chan chant. Doi told them they should stay backstage and watch from there. They aren’t a part of this unit. Dk pointed out his verbal blunder from earlier where he included DK and Ishida as a part of his MaxiMuM victory proclamation. He heard Doi-chan say it! Doi once again asked for him to stop calling him that, so DK called him DoiDoi. Instetad of DoiYoshi they could have DoraYoshi, or DoiKi….wait…Doi put an end to things there and asked the other actual MaxiMuM members to leave with him. Dragon Gate will be back in October so you all again!
1st Finger played and DK & Ishida frantically tried to join in on the signature pose but were denied at every opportunity as the show ended.
