*Kotoka loses his hair for 1 year.

The losers of the respective selection matches became the delegate for their cage match participant. Their hair or mask will also be at risk in the match. In the event of a time limit draw or other such indecisive finish, both fighters will become delegates. Inside the cage, a competitor will first have to score a pinfall or submission before they are allowed to escape the cage. The pinfall will free their delegate from their risk. They can then escape the cage and their own risk by retrieving one of the five flags that will be placed at the top of the cage. In an instance where there are two delegates, their representative will have to gain two falls before they can escape.

Each participant and delegate had a chance to speak before intermission. Mochizuki once again underwent experimental body modification to turn him into Karate Robot Masa. Kong made some improvements and created the upgraded Super Karate Robot Masa RX version. The RX model responds to voice commands and extra rocket punch functionality.
YAMATO asked Nagoya how they were feeling. He was feeling pretty bad, due to getting stuck with Ichikawa as his delegate. That wouldn’t stop him from sending Takagi to hell, though.
Kotoka said Vehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh as usual.
Tanizaki asked Saito for his assistance. Once himself, YAMATO, & Doi were out of the cage he didn’t care what happened. Saito started a Mr. Quu Quu chant, which Tanizaki said was fine for just tonight.
Due to the draw between Osaka 06, Doi had to get two pins before he could escape. He wondered which one he would release with the first fall. CIMA said that was a good question. But it didn’t matter. Osaka06 would fight until they were both free.
Takagi said it was time to find out who the real Verserk was. The talking was done. As for Punch. Who gives a rats ass if he loses his hair? He better help Takagi get out.

YAMATO had a chance to escape in the middle stages but returned to assist Doi. Later, Tanizaki betrayed him as he was close to escape. Referee Yagi was taken out in the late stages, which lead to Takagi and the rest of Verserk unlocking the cage door. They focused on YAMATO until Doi made the save. This was short-lived as he also betrayed YAMATO. He escaped, leaving it down to YAMATO & Kotoka. Verserk prevented YAMATO from escaping at all times until Kzy came to his aid. He blocked a potential Kotoka escape. Maria followed suit. Takagi got back into the cage to attack YAMATO more. Finally, BxB Hulk made his return to the ring to run off Takagi and lead YAMATO to his escape.

YAMATO shook hands and hugged the three who saved him. Verserk acted as he expected them to act. But his closest friend. Doi. Naruki Doi. He would pay for what he did. But not now. Now it was time for Kotoka to get his haircut. Kotoka tried to escape, but MONSTER EXPRESS & the Jimmyz appeared on the ramp to block him. His escape in the other direction was met with a rocket punch from Karate Robot Masa RX. Kotoka received his haircut, despite great reluctance from Takagi & co.

Takagi was furious. Kzy? Maria? That piece of shit BxB fucking Hulk? That is who YAMATO was going to associate with? Doesn’t he feel degraded? He better have more help than that in Korakuen next week. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. A one-way path to hell. Doi confirmed that YAMATO was kicked out of Verserk. It was his fault they lost the Twin Gate, and they had no more use for him. DoiYAMA was done. Verserk left.

YAMATO promised to take out Takagi and get revenge on Doi. This error in judgement will cost Verserk everything. He addressed the fans as the final survivor of the cage match. He thanked Hulk, Kzy, & Maria for helping him. Hulk was happy to see YAMATO keep his hair. He’s been out for awhile, but he has been watching YAMATO closely the whole time. He hasn’t been the same recently. More to the point, he feels like they have something in common. You see, Hulk hates that Shingo Takagi guy. Like, really really hates him. He has been on the shelf for six months. His rehab is done. He has gotten into shape. He is ready to come back. If YAMATO was out of Verserk then they should all fight together. To take out Takagi, to end Verserk.
YAMATO was in tears. He apologized for how he has acted over the last three years. That whole Almighty thing? All seeing and all knowing? He didn’t see or know anything. He wasn’t almighty. Kzy corrected him. They have been together since the trainee days. He knows YAMATO better than anyone. He is indeed The Almighty. YAMATO promised to devote the rest of his career to DRAGON GATE. To raise the profile of the company, help the trainees, and make it fun for everyone. He had one last thing to say. Once again, wasn’t he…and Hulk….and Kzy….and even Maria….just the coolest?

Takagi said that the consecutive wins together didn’t change how he felt about them. If they wanted to keep their hair tomorrow they knew what to do. Support him or fail. There would be no restart today. The fans should collect their belongings and get out.

YAMATO said that he and Susumu still were ready to go. Was Takagi trying to escape? Scared?

Takagi brought Kong and Kotoka in. They both won today. That left them a man short on the YAMATO side. Did they really want to face the winners of all three of the six man tags 3-2? YAMATO was willing to fight 2-100. Susumu calmed him down. The match tomorrow was too important for such rash decisions. If YAMATO were to get injured that would be disastrous for himself or Ichikawa. Susumu had a third. He called out Jimmy Kagetora! Kagetora entered the ring for the first time in almost a year, and the impromptu match began.

Not content with keeping the cage match within Verserk, Doi introduced his latest idea to cause grief for the rest of the roster. The Double Risk stipulation from last year will return for the cage match this year. Each participant will have a delegate outside the match, who will also have their hair or mask on the line. The rest of the roster had their name written on balls which were then selected in twos by a cage match participant. Those two names will face off in a 10-minute time limit singles match at DEAD or ALIVE with the loser becoming the delegate. The participants of the already set title matches were excluded. Yoshino tried to get the Triangle Gate champion team out of it as well. Saito said that the Jimmyz could very well be champions by then, so they should also be excluded. Doi wasn’t having it. That was Hakata talk. This is Nagoya talk. All 6 were in. No exceptions.

Doi selected CIMA & Gamma.
Kong selected Mochizuki & Kzy.
Tanizaki selected Fujii & Saito.
Kotoka selected Tozawa & Yoshino.
YAMATO selected Susumu & Stalker Ichikawa.
Takagi selected Kanda & Tominaga.

Because Gamma is already mostly bald, some extra stipulations were added to actually give him some semblance of risk. He will not be allowed to shave any lines into the side of his head. Furthermore, ALL participants & delegates will not be allowed to grow facial hair for the duration of their penalty. Mochizuki said that because he was an old man, he may not be able to grow his hair back. He asked Kzy to do him a solid and help him out of this. Saito lamented the fact that he JUST went to the salon to get a new hair style. Yoshino confirmed the rule that until you score a fall in the match, you can’t try and escape. Kotoka and his delegate were pretty much fucked there because he can’t pin or submit anyone in the cage. YAMATO and Susumu acted as though the result of their pairing was decided, but Stalker stood his ground. He has had that mask for his entire career. He wasn’t going to give it up so easily. He didn’t plan on becoming a delegate.
A bald champion in KING OF GATE is not acceptable. Takagi won’t accept any obstructions.
Kanda has lost his hair at DEAD or ALIVE before. Sorry Punch, but it wasn’t going to happen again. PT said if he loses his hair, he is no longer Punch. So his very existence is at stake. Kanda was going down.
Kotoka said that things were getting very interesting. May was going to be fun. Vehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Mondai Ryu attacked Maria after her match. This was a Dream Gate champ vs. Brave Gate champ matchup and she went down like a total nobody. What kind of champion is she? He would stop the embarrassment. He wanted a title match at DEAD or ALIVE. Maria agreed, since Mondai Ryu was a comedy wrestler. The match was made official.

DK & Eita interrupted the YAMATO victory speech to officially challenge for the Twin Gate. The match was accepted for DEAD or ALIVE.

Match two was suddenly made into a decision match for the vacant Owarai Gate. CIMA won the fan decision, but paused after putting the belt on. This title originated with Ichikawa so maybe he should have it. Ichikawa admitted that he wanted it. But he was also in KING OF GATE this year. He couldn’t do that and still be champion. He came up with a compromise. Punch Tominaga was at ringside seconding CIMA. PT wasn’t in KING OF GATE. If PT wanted to be in, he could have Ichikawas’ spot. Ichikawa would than accept the Owarai Gate and defend it to the best of his ability. Tominaga accepted and promised to win the whole thing. Ichikawa ended up as champion.

OVER GENERATION greeted the fans for the usual First Gong Kids segment. CIMA joked with Tominaga about the retirement match today. If he loses he can just come back as Shit Tominaga or shave his head and be Skinhead Tominaga. Plenty of options.

Big R had something very important to say, after pinning CIMA. Ohhhhhh! Ohhhhhhhhhhhh! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

KING OF GATE was announced at intermission. This year it will be a 24 man round robin league. There will be 4 blocks of 6 competitors. It will begin on 5/8 in Osaka and run all the way to the Hakata Star Lanes double header on 6/11 & 12. The blocks and several matches were announced. We will have full details on this shortly.

Doi went after Kotoka again, after losing the semi-final.

Eita once again pestered DK to mentor him. DK wavered. There really isn’t anyone else in DG doing his style right now. He’d consider it. Maybe they can team more, and take things on a case by case basis. Eita went even further and offered him a spot in OVER GENERATION. The other members consented to it, so DK agreed. He noted that there were no title holders in OG right now. Eita & DK resolved to chase the Twin Gate together.

Takagi & YAMATO could not get on the same page, with numerous instances of friendly fire and outright attacking of one another. Things broke down after the match, with Takagi & Kotoka on one side and YAMATO, Doi, & Tanizaki on the other. Kong finally chose a side and went with Takagi, prompting YAMATO to ask him if he knew what a mistake that was. Kong said that Takagi was the Dream Gate champion and that is not someone you oppose. Doi lost his patience. The unit was split down the middle, 3 vs. 3. Perfect numbers to have a match to settle things.
GM Yagi capitalized on this opportunity. He was making a match. But he wasn’t making a regular 6 man tag. 6 entrants was the exact number he wanted for the cage match at DEAD or ALIVE, so all 6 were now entered into the match. Kong protested, but Mondai Ryu of all people stood up to him. Kong said he wasn’t going to be able to climb any cage, so Mondai Ryu should take his place. Mondai Ryu basically told him that if you don’t start any shit, there won’t be any shit. He got himself into it, so he can get himself out of it. They had an impromptu singles match where the loser would be put into the match. Mondai Ryu reversed the Cyber Bomb for an upset win.
With the entrants decided, it was time for Yagi to add the special rules. There are many different people in the world. Some people have fast growing hair. For some people, it doesn’t grow back if you shave it. So, to make things fair to everyone, the loser of this match will have to keep stay bald or maskless for a period of no less than one year.
Mochizuki noted that with the cage match entirely Verserk members it was probably going to be a sour ending regardless of who lost. Doi raged at him. This was a Verserk problem. Everyone else should mind their business.
YAMATO had choice words for Takagi. They would be facing each other at Korakuen next month for KING OF GATE. It doesn’t matter what kind of hairstyle either of them had when that time comes. YAMATO was done with the tag scene and was looking to return to the top of singles competition. There is only one goal, and it is currently around Takagis’ waist.

After all this, the Jimmyz had to remind the fans that they actually won the match. They closed things out with a Jimmyz Train.

Verserk attempted to attack Mochizuki after his match with Kotoka but Kotoka accidentally hit Doi, leading to more infighting.
MONSTER EXPRESS seized this opportunity to confront them ahead of the main event. Yoshino poked fun at their issues. He made it clear that Verserk were divided in two. YAMATO and Takagi were at odds over who had the worse haircut. Doi & Kotoka were fighting over who had a better ass or some such. Either way, these guys would have to get along in the main event. Doi deflected all of this. He outed Tozawa as Tenzen Mask. He brought up on the Owarai Gate. Yoshino has had the belt for months but hasn’t made a single defense. Surely that broke the rules. He demanded the commissioner come out and strip Yoshino of the title. Yoshino said that had nothing to do with the main event. Doi was flustered. But, since Kotoka wasn’t in the match, they would be fine. ME should be ready to face the strongest trio in the company.

Susumu challenged for the Triangle Gate after the semi-final. He lost the Dream Gate after only 3 weeks. Saito was beaten 2 weeks later in a title match. Things haven’t been good for them recently, but they will never give up. The Jimmyz want to achieve another goal, and they want to do it in Fukuoka. Since he beat T-Hawk today, that should earn them a Triangle Gate shot. T-Hawk accepted, and the match was set for 04/24 in Hakata.

Kotoka hit Doi with powder, leading to his loss. In anger, YAMATO & Doi attacked him and tried to cut his hair. Takagi broke it up. Doi was outraged. It is his fault he lost today. ALL HIS FAULT. Takagi understood but the hair cutting was too much. Accidents happen within units sometimes. They continued to argue, but eventually things settled down.

MONSTER EXPRESS closed the show. Yoshino was surprised to hear he suddenly had a Triangle Gate title match in a few weeks. T-Hawk assured them that they would have no problem with their opponents. He lost the match so his hand was forced into agreeing. Tozawa asked who they would be fighting. Where would it be? What was going on? T-Hawk explained the details and situation once again. Tozawa was fine with it. Champions take on all comers.

Speaking of championships…..Yoshino was a man of integrity. What Doi said to him earlier really bothered him, so he spoke to GM Yagi backstage for confirmation. It turns out that there is indeed a 90-day rule for the Owarai Gate. He won the title in Saga back in November, so this was good a place as any to give the title back. He talked about being excited at the idea of his scheduled matches being suddenly turned into title matches. But no one was ever interested. His 90 days were up on 02/23, so he has been illegally calling himself champion for over a month. No one bothered to even tell him this was against the rules….
