Stalker Ichikawa appeared after the opener. Why did these young punks have a match but there was no spot for a legend like him? He demanded a match. Mochizuki wondered if Stalker knew what the word legend meant. If he wanted a match he could choose from one of the 8 in the ring. Ichikawa chose Yoshioka but the fans reacted poorly. Mochizuki warned him that he would probably lose to him. Did he really want to lose to Yoshioka in front of this many people. He picked Mochizuki for the impromptu match.

YAMATO & T-Hawk had a face-to-face. T-Hawk promised to bring an end to the YAMATO era and paint Dragon Gate with his own colors. YAMATO said that T-Hawk was a man of few words, as always. It’s been one year since he won the title. Now he is back in World Hall as champion and is in he best shape of his life. T-Hawk wants to start a new era and change the color scheme. Unfortunately for him, YAMATO still has the paintbrush. The difference will be clear once they are in the ring.

After winning the tournament, Horiguchi promised the Jimmyz would pull off another miracle.

President Okamura came out after intermission for his traditional address. This was the 19th Kobe World Hall show, and the 15th straight sellout. He thanked the fans who took time out of their busy schedules to come from near and far for making it possible. This year, Dragon Gate will have 201 shows. There have been shows in every prefecture in Japan. This year, a big show in Sendai has been added to the schedule. The show today will air on network television later this summer. There was on more announcement to make. It was time to take another step forward. It was time to advance from Asia into the rest of the world. This won’t be like in the past where there is an event then they come home. Asia will just be the launching pad into the rest of the world. Of course, the center of activity will be right here in Japan and in Kobe. He thanked the fans and asked them to enjoy the remaining three matches of the best pro wrestling in the world.

Before YAMATO could celebrate, he was attacked by Takagi. Takagi was disgusted at the idea of someone so pathetic as the so-called “top” of the company. What a joke. Belts are all that matter anyway. Tribe Vanguard only have one belt. Verserk has three. It is clear who the company should be built around.
YAMATO said Takagi was rotten as ever. All this right after his teammate was beaten. They might be Triangle Gate champions, but the center of DG is the Dream Gate. As long as he is champion, Tribe will be the centerpiece unit.
This brought out Over Generation. CIMA had some compliments for YAMATO for succeeding in the World main event for the second year in a row. He himself hasn’t been in the main event since losing to Takagi in 2013. The Twin Gate title match was a lot of fun, but the main event is a different level. A level he promises to rise to again and prove he wasn’t finished yet. For that purpose, it cant be Tribe or Verserk at the top. It has to be Over Generation. Eita said OG was the best unit. Containing both legends and important players for the future, it was vital they continue.
MaxiMuM was next. They lost both their matches today, but that is in the past. In the unit battlefield they will be the last ones standing.
The Jimmyz came out. Horiguchi was exhausted from having 3 matches in one day, so he would make this brief. These other units say a lot of things despite only being around for a year or two. The Jimmyz have been together for SIX YEARS. Six. They aren’t business partners. They are family. Their bonds are unbreakable.
Takagi told him that he and his bald head talk pretty big, but the reality is they lost today. They were just trash that won a tournament just to lose in the title match. Linda proclaimed that the Triangle Gate was proof of unit superiority and that would just be proven further in the upcoming league.
CIMA promised that OG would continue forever. Yoshino said that MaxiMuM was just two months old. Disbanding so soon was just out of the question. The other units are on notice. One of them would meet their demise soon. Horiguchi said the Jimmyz miracle story still had chapters to be written. A simple league series is nothing to them. They have survived much worse. He also promised they would take back the Triangle Gate and remove some of the stain that Verserk have left on them. Takagi warned YAMATO that even though he got past T-Hawk, he still had a strong enemy coming for him. Tribe Vanguard was left to close the show.

Kzy vowed that Tribe Vanguard would live up to the meaning of their name and remain at the vanguard of Dragon Gate. YAMATO admitted that as a unit they have accomplished much since they came together a year ago. It was time to make their mark. They will survive the coming league series and make a bigger impact. He thanked the fans for coming to see him stand tall at the end for the second year in a row. Last year he promised it was just the first step of many. The road has been hard and will only get more difficult from here but as long as he was champion Dragon Gate would prosper. He outlasted T-Hawk today, but he can feel the next generation gaining on his. Outside the ring are the newest crop of trainees. In a few years they may be the catalysts for a Dragon Gate golden age that no longer needs people like him. There was a two week rest coming now, but after that it was time to start the next series. He thanked the roster, staff, and fans. He parted with one last thing. Once again today, wasn’t he just the coolest?

Yamamura stood tall at the end of his homecoming show. This was the first DG show ever in Maishima. When it was first announced, he saw a 6:30PM start on a weekday and figured there would be nobody here. His hometown fans far exceeded his expectations and he was grateful. CIMA admitted he was also worried. This show was taking place right in between shows in Edion Arena and Kobe World. At 6:30 people are usually leaving work and thinking about dinner. Stomachs are empty! He recalled when Yamamura & Ishida debuted two years ago they looked like babies. Today, Yamamura is standing here with all the confidence and aura of a adult. He was happy to see him like this, and congratulated him on a successful homecoming.

Yamamura talked about playing baseball all through high school. He lost his final game as a baseball player in the field next to this arena. He also remembers watching wrestling in the building and hoping he could one day appear in a match here. He thanked the fans for coming today. This was the first show in Maishima, but it won:t be the last. Takehiro Yamamura and Over Generation will be back to see everyone again.

Yoshino called U-T to the ring after the main event. Yoshino explained that U-T had asked him to do this earlier in the day if MaxiMuM were to win in the main event. He got his wish, so he should say what he has to say.
He explained that he broke his arm in two places last August. He has been on the shelf ever since. He is now finally ready to come back. He had hoped to come back today, since Nagoya is his hometown, but it didn’t work out. His first time back in the ring is scheduled for the 7/21 NEX show. If that goes well, he has full intentions of competing when they return to Nagoya in August.

Doi recalled a time he received a diving headbutt from U-T and it hurt, but then he looked at U-T and he looked even more hurt. Turns out that is where he broke his arm. He also wondered why he asked Yoshino for the favor today and pondered if he asked someone in Over Generation in case they won. In any case. U-T will be back after a year, and they hope fans receive him well.

MaxiMuM boss Big R Shimizu closed out the show. He planned on celebrating their inevitable Triangle Gate title win at World by buying a car. Doi was confused, but then realized that since they were in Nagoya he could only be talking about buying a Toyota. Shimizu said no, he would be buying an American car to a chorus of boos.

MaxiMuM won the draw for the man advantage in the main event. Kotoka promised that MaxiMuM would take full advantage and he would be the one to pick up the pin on Horiguchi. Horiguchi asked him if he was really prepared to captain a unit and carry them to victory. He has had to carry the Jimmyz to victory many times over the last 6 years. Today wouldn’t be any different.

Mochizuki asked Yoshioka how losing felt. It sucks, doesn’t it? Yoshioka admitted it did indeed suck. Perhaps today was all Don Fujiis’ fault, but a loss is a loss. He told Shun Skywalker to also listen carefully at ringside. They are contemporaries of Ben-K. He has joined a unit, become a champion, and is frequently in important matches. They are the total opposite. This is Kobe World season. This is the season to make an impact. He urged them to do whatever they had to do.

Lindaman was reminded of the time he was actually with this ugly pig and wanted to be in the same unit as her. But because of the stupid fans he was rejected. Because of the stupid fans….he was now a champion. Today he wanted to say thank you to all these idiots that made his life so miserable. He would have been stuck in Tribe Vanguard having to carry around this ugly piece of baggage. Maria sprung back to life and ended up laying Lindaman out.

Takagi mocked YAMATO for losing to him right before his big title match. Perhaps he is so scared of and focused on T-Hawk that he has forgotten that he has other enemies that will be waiting to strike when he lets his guard down. What kind of champion is he? T-Hawk can’t win the title soon enough. T-Hawk called him a weakling. He didn’t even feel the need to pick up the win himself today. He can pin YAMATO or Hulk any time he wants. YAMATO was self deprecating. It sure seems like he has been out here every month making these awkward speeches after losing. One awkward speech he won’t be making is at Kobe World, because he was going to win. T-Hawk found the notion laughable. It wasn’t just YAMATO & Hulk. Everyone in Dragon Gate was on his list. YAMATO promised to return to Korakuen Hall as champion and hoped the fans would enjoy the main event.

He had been mocked and put down, but today Kotoka captained MaxiMuM to victory. He didn’t know or care how long the Jimmyz have been together. All that matters was that MaxiMuM were the best unit today. Tribe Vanguard came out. Kzy gave MaxiMuM credit for their current run of momentum, but he disagreed that they were the best. Tribe has the Dream Gate champion, the #1 contender to the Brave Gate, and the next Triangle Gate champions. They were the best. Verserk interrupted. Who cares if Tribe Vanguard has the Dream Gate champion when he is a champion who gets pinned all the time? Lindaman said that the Triangle Gate titles prove that they are the strongest unit. MaxiMuM and the Jimmyz had no title belts. He beat Maria himself today, and YAMATO & Hulk went down to Takagi & T-Hawk. Verserk was clearly the better unit. This brought Over Generation to the ring. Verserk sure liked to brag about how much they won today. If you check the results, you will see CK-1 beat Yoshida & Punch today. They are also still Twin Gate champions and that is an important item in the unit battlefield. Doi reminded him that they were only champions for the time being. They will have to defend those titles against DoiYoshi at World. Eita was tired of talking and was ready to settle things. Things got increasingly heated. Takagi suggested that maybe it was time for one of the units to go away entirely.

Mochizuki & Fujii appeared at this point. Maybe this has nothing to do with him. He was an independent, after all. He did have a proposal, though. World is in a few weeks, but once that is over it will be time for the August series. A month and a half after that will be Dangerous Gate in Ota. His proposal was, for the duration of that time span they hold a league of some sort. At the end of that league, the lowest ranked unit would be forced to disband. Things like match composition and other details could be decided later. Kotoka protested. This was unit warfare and Mochizuki had no right to be involved. Mochizuki figured Kotoka was just too afraid. After all, his stablemate Big R Shimizu was personally responsible for the demise of two units within a 6 month time frame. GM Yagi came out and made it official. The details would be announced later, but the Unit Surival League was on. Each unit promised they would win, leaving MaxiMuM to close out the show.

Doi was taken aback by what Mochizuki had said earlier. Previously, he didn’t care about anything related to Big R Shimizu, so this was his first time hearing about his reputation as a unit killer. Was he really directly responsible for the demise of two units? Shimizu admitted it was true. Due to his big mouth, Dia Hearts and Monster Express were forced into and lost unit disbands matches. Having MaxiMuM end after like two months was just not an acceptable option. Yoshino brought up that he was in Monster Express when it happened. He wondered if getting involved in this league was really a good idea with Shimizu around….
Doi told him to stop thinking negatively. They weren’t going to lose! He left the closing of the show to Kotoka, since lost in all this was the fact that he won in the main event. This in fact was probably the first time he has won in such an important match. Kotoka admitted he was incredibly nervous all day, especially during the drawing at the start of the show. His promo got no reaction so that didn’t help things. Doi told him that it was a pretty embarrassing promo and he himself was embarrassed for him. But it all worked out in the end and the reaction to his win was as big as he has ever heard. Kotoka said he has been through hell over the last year. He got injured, kicked out of Verserk, injured again. He finally has a place and he has no intention of losing it. Young MaxiMuM weren’t going to be carried through this league by Doi & Yoshino. They would be the ones doing the heavy lifting and save them from extinction.

*MaxiMuM fail in their 2nd Defense, Verserk become the 60th Champion Team

Kzy reminded the world that Tribe Vanguard was still around, and they were determined to make their presence felt in the current unit battlefield. Kagetora agreed. With his pinfall win over Saito today, Kzy was more than qualified for a Brave Gate title match. Kzy reminded him that back in Hakata, Kagetora had asked him to relay a challenge to Flamita. Flamita was now standing in front of him. He can challenge him directly now. Kagetora remembered that this was, in fact, how it went. He challenged Flamita for a Brave Gate title match at Kobe World. Flamita accepted.

Mochizuki was happy to be on the receiving end of kicks from Ishida again. He had been out for 5 months, and seems well rested. Both Don Fujii & himself are 47 years old. To them, 5 months is over in the blink of an eye. It is no time at all. If Ishida took 20 years off he still wouldn’t be as old as them. Ishida has a lot of time left in his career. But there will still be a lot of times he and the other youngsters will be across the ring from Masaaki Mochizuki & Mr. Don Fujii.

Young MaxiMuM came out after the 3rd match and attacked. Kotoka mocked the Jimmyz for losing and for being caught off guard by the attack. They have permanent targets on their back and they should be ready to fight at all times. Eita was irritated. Yamamura scored the pin, Over Generation beat the Jimmyz. MaxiMuM had no reason to be here. Kanda was beyond irritated. These kids talk a lot of shit for guys who only win sometimes. Verserk came out at this point and argued with MaxiMuM over the main event. Shimizu said there was only one possible result. A MaxiMuM win with Big! R! Shimizu! getting the 3 count.

YAMATO & T-Hawk had a verbal confrontation in advance of their title match. YAMATO was impressed that T-Hawk still had gas in the tank after King of Gate. T-Hawk promised they would find out who the real number 1 was. It would be him.

Eita interfered in the semifinal, but it backfired and an errant superkick allowed Kotoka to pin CIMA.

The Jimmyz hit the ring after the main event. They challenged the new Triangle Gate champions to a title match. Over Generation followed. Gamma said he already had a reservation in his name for the next title match. Kotoka then demanded MaxiMuM get a rematch. He pinned CIMA today, so he felt he should be in the match. It would be the Young MaxiMuM trio challenging. Tribe Vanguard followed. They didn’t want to be left out of this.
Takagi was annoyed that the Verserk win was so quickly forgotten, but was amused by all the challenges. They would defend the titles at Kobe World, but a 5 way would be annoying to pull off. He proposed the four potential challenger teams have a one night tournament earlier in the show. The winning team would then go on to face Verserk in a title match. Horiguchi wasn’t too into the idea. 3 matches in one night is very inconvenient. Takagi said that as the champions, they get to make the rules. The challenger teams all has gripes, but in the end it was accepted. GM Yagi was pleased with the idea but had one concern. A one night tournament may extend the length of the show to an unreasonable length. He announced that the tournament matches would be competed under two count rules. With this settled, Verserk tried to celebrate their title win but when the fans didn’t react positively they left.

Doi & Yoshino then agreed there was only one piece of business left for today. They called out CK-1. It was pretty clear why they called them out. DK disagreed. He had no idea. They should just come out and say why. The fans knew why. Yoshino came out and said it. DoiYoshi wanted a Twin Gate title match and they wanted it at Kobe World. After talking for a long time and saying little, CIMA accepted the challenge.

MaxiMuM closed out the show with some propaganda for their various upcoming homecoming shows in the Kansai area.

Verserk attacked after the second match. Yoshida proclaimed that this was his city, and called out Tribe Vanguard. He told YAMATO that ever since he took his mask, he has been unstoppable. YAMATO asked him why all the posters for this show still had him as Cyber Kong. Yoshida lamented that he had 500 posters printed up before he lost his mask. YAMATO was going to pay him back for that with the beating he would receive tonight!

Hulk announced that Flamita would be returning to Japan next week. He told fans to look forward to what Tribe Vanguard will be able to do with him around.

Susumu attacked Kotoka after their match. He gave him a Yokosuka Cutter and Saito counted 3. Kotoka wasn’t phased by it. He beat Susumu & Big was about to beat Horiguchi. This might be a hometown show for that comedy loser Gamma, but this was Young MaxiMuMs’ time.

Horiguchi thanked the fans for helping him call on some divine intervention. These young kids have power and stamina. The Jimmyz are all over 35. They don’t have much power and stamina. They do have smarts and experience. Because of that, they can’t be beaten.

Gamma called out Young MaxiMuM after the main event. Who were they calling a comedy wrestler? Maybe they need to see the scarier side of Gamma to be reminded exactly who he was. He challenged for the Triangle Gate on behalf of Over Generation. Lindaman noted that Verserk already had the next title shot. Gamma had no idea. He was off yesterday and he doesn’t pay attention to what Lindaman does on his off days. Well. If it was already official announced, then he wanted to reserve the the next show. Lindaman did a lot of trash talking about the Old Comedy Generation or whatever he said. Lindaman said no such reservation system existed! Gamma was using his hometown advantage to create such a system. Along with Yamamura & Ishida, they would get whoever wins on 7/1. Lindaman thought it was bullshit, but wanted to prove they were better than Over Generation. Fine, they have their reservation. Shimizu shouted that MaxiMuM were the champion team. After they run over Verserk, they would be more than happy to crush Over Generation.

Young MaxiMuM attacked after the opener. Kotoka lamented the match quality, and mocked Eita for losing to the biggest jobber in the company after all the trash he talked in Hakata. Eita told him to mind his business. This match had nothing to do with them. Horiguchi was annoyed at having one of his rare wins ruined like this. Young MaxiMuM, Young Generation, whoever. The middle aged Jimmyz would make them pay for taking them lightly.

Kagetora continued his new strange habit of challenging people to Brave Gate title matches. This time it was Ishida. Even though he just came back from an injury and clearly wasn’t back up to speed, maybe a title match was what he needed to get back on track….

T-Hawk called out YAMATO. He demanded they set a time and place for their match. The match that would decide who was better: the king or the champion. There was only one place suitable. The main event of Kobe World on 7/23.

Not to Ben lost in the shuffle, Kzy put MaxiMuM and the other unit so on notice. If any of them wanted a target, they were welcome to try Tribe Vanguard.

Verserk ran down MaxiMuM for their lack of results. What a joke of a group these guys are! Especially that pig and gorilla from the so-called Young MaxiMuM. They weren’t fit to be champions. Verserk wanted their titles. Doi agreed. Both sides didn’t want to wait until World so the match was set for 7/1 in Osaka.
