The contract signing for the main event was held after match two. CIMA talked about there being a big concert over in the nearby Yahoo Japan Dome. It was a pretty big deal so many Hakata natives were there. Those that didn’t go and instead came here came for one reason. To see CIMA win the Dream Gate. For their sake, and for the sake of DRAGON GATE history, he would fight to the death to win today. Just to make sure, he polled the crowd on who they wanted to see win. The answer was a resounding “CIMA”. He was going to win, and everyone knows why. Because he is CIMA.
Takagi noted this was the first time he would be facing CIMA as champion. He had great admiration for CIMA. He was the man who wrote DRAGON GATEs’ history. He has no choice but to erase that history today. Times have changed and it is out with the old. He would write a new legacy in his own image. To do that, he had to put an end to CIMA.

Stalker was costumed after Rickson Gracie, who faced Funaki in a famous Coliseum Rules fight many years back. After being beaten quickly he appealed for his usual rematch. Since Ichikawa had essentially zero chance under the special rules, Mochizuki asked Funaki to do the rematch under regular pro wrestling rules.

Doi ran down PT after their match. He was in over his head trying to fight at the championship level. Don’t even think about trying again. VERZERK were 2 for 2 so far. After Shingo wins and they take the Triangle Gate, Fukuoka would get a full VERZERK happy ending.

Takagi celebrated but lamented the lack of applause. Sorry CIMA. Your time is over. Just like Fujii, Gamma, & Mochizuki before him. The veterans have been vanquished. Well. There was Shisa. But that wasn’t going to happen. 2015 was over and now it was time to take out the trash. VERZERK would be steering the ship in 2016. They did their customary pose and were ready to end the show on the sourest of notes when Susumu hit the ring and laid Taagi out with the Jumbo no Kachi!
If you follow the timeline, after the veterans you would find his generation. Takagi claims to have no challengers left. Well. He was standing right there. He wanted a title match. In fact, he had been planning to come out to challenge CIMA because he was sure CIMA was going to win. He was the very first Dream Gate challenger for CIMA back in 2004 and again in 2012. He wanted to do so one more time. Even in defeat, he knew fans wanted to see CIMA close the show, so he passed the microphone to him.
CIMA had promised everyone a happy ending. Even with the fan support and tactical support from his veteran allies, he was still defeated. Takagi talked about spring cleaning and taking out the trash. Well. Maybe he was garbage by now. But there are many types of trash. Burnable, plastic, etc. Well. If you read his label it says “CIMA: Do not throw away”. He had hoped for a victory as a late Christmas present. It didn’t come, but he was saved by Susumu. Susumu had a birthday in February. You know what else is in February? A show in Hakata Star Lanes on the 14th. That is as good a place as any for him to get his Dream Gate title match. It was set. Susumu promised get into peak condition. 2016 will be 10 years since he was last Dream Gate champion, and he would end that drought on 02/14.
CIMA thanked the fans for their support in 2015, and promised to keep working hard to fulfill the dreams of the fans and children in 2016.

Mondai Ryu was incredibly annoyed at having Maria as his final opponent in Kobe for 2015. The Millennials were done. Why was he still doing this stupid cross-dressing bullshit? Everyone knows he is that ugly son of a bitch Yosuke Watanabe.

VERZERK attacked after the opener. Today they were fighting OVER GENERATION in a Naniwa Elimination match. Doi assumed that greenhorn Yamamura probably didn’t know the rules so he explained them. While it was a 5 on 5 match, it starts 1 on 1. Then each team alternates entering members. Whoever has the man advantage will probably win. So VERZERK should get it. Right? Gamma disagreed. They ended up doing a lottery drawing to decide which team gets it. Kotoka pulled it for VERZERK.

Mondai Ryu accidentally hit Cyber Kong with powder, leading to his loss to T-Hawk.

VERZERL celebrated. Kotoka warned Eita that his knee would be fully healed by Fukuoka. Eita would have to beat him in a fair fight and everyone knows that he can’t do that. Blehhhhhh! YAMATO mocked PT for his Moomin-esque body. Wasn’t he supposed to be getting in shape for the title match? He wasn’t going to last 3 minutes in the title match.
CIMA noted the change in tone from the fun Sumoz atmosphere yesterday. This was not the DRAGON GATE he helped create. The DG that was being controlled by Takagi had to be stopped. He promised to put an end to the unhappy endings, and return to Kobe as Dream Gate champion next month.

6. Sumo Fuji, Ryo “Sumo” Saito{W}, Sumo Susumu (20:46 SaiRyo Rocket) CIMA, Masaaki Mochizuki{L}, Masato Yoshino

Dia HEARTS celebrated their win in the opener over freshly-turned-adult birthday boy Ishida. They talked about the upcoming Triangle Gate title match. If Big is in the same form as today they will surely take the titles. Kzy mentioned that the exact same team won the Triangle Gate last year in Fukuoka so he has total faith in them in this one.

Takagi called PT a piece of human garbage. Kotoka still can’t do anything so this was essentially a 2 on 1 match and he still won. This was proof that the PT win last month was a one-time miracle. Trash is trash, and he won’t be winning any titles any time soon. The same goes for CIMA. Kotoka promised that when they return to Sambo Hall next month that VERZERK will have all the titles. Blehhhhhh!

After the Sumoz celebrated their main event win and both teams shared some banter, CIMA spoke about more serious members. This was the atmosphere DRAGON GATE was supposed to have. It was up to him to put an end to the Takagi reign of terror. He would start tomorrow by eliminating him from the big elimination match tomorrow. Both sides once more exchanged pleasantries to close out the show.

CIMA was pulled from the show at the last minute due to complications from a case of acute gastroenteritis. On Twitter Takagi said that CIMA was so afraid of him that it gave him a stomach ache.
Don Fujii will also be absent from this show as it is the traditional year-end drinking party season and he has better things to do.

Maria wished the fans a Merry Christmas. She wasn’t scheduled for a match but was this match was made at the last minute due to CIMAs’ illness. She considered it an early Christmas present. However, she wanted one more thing. A kiss from Mochizuki! After being pinned in 9 seconds, she pleaded for a rematch. Mochizuki had prepared for a match with Yamamura and was really looking forward to having an exciting final match in Korakuen for 2015. But, this match. No. He wasn’t into it. This match is over. Maria was enraged at this denial of her entire existence. She will show Mochizuki the true power she possesses.

Yamamura wore CIMAs’ ring gear as his replacement in the semi-final. In the latter stages, Ishida also appeared in a CIMA costume to help PT score the fall. YAMATO complained about the interference and lamented him learning how to cheat so early in his career. Why won’t Gamma & PT get it into their heads that they have no chance of winning in Fukuoka? Especially with a Moominesque body like PT. Gamma had no real response to that comment but assured YAMATO that under his personal training regiment that PT will have a slightly better body by Fukuoka. PT closed out the semi-final by promising that OVER GENERATION would win all their title matches at FINAL GATE.

Metal Warrior was attacked by Gamma during his entrance. Luckily Karaoke Machine was ready to immediately take his place.

Lindaman closed out the show. He noted that he also won the main event of the final Korakuen last year. He also promised victory for all OG members in Fukuoka and thanked the fans for coming in 2015. See you all next year!!

Tozawa complained. That wasn’t a suitable end to the show. He called out the roster to give some closing thoughts. Yoshino went first, talking about how happy he was to come back to Korakuen as Owarai Gate champion.

Dois’ music hit, bringing out VERZERK. They also had a dartboard in tow! The treasure hunt was over. It was time for Doi Darts! Today they would select the participants for a special New Year 10 Man Tag Team Match for the 01/13 Korakuen. Yoshino complained about the size discrepancies present on the board. The MONSTER EXPRESS members were all disproportionately large. There was also a mystery space that covered nearly 25% of the board. This was revealed to be Mochizuki. Since the next Korakuen was so close to his birthday it should be considered a gift. Children were selected to choose the teams. The final selections are listed below. Takagi lobbied to change places with Tozawa but was turned down. Even though he was a fellow VERZERK member the word of Doi Darts is law. Nothing can be changed.

Tozawa & Mochizuki closed out the show, thanking fans for 2015 and telling them to look forward to 2016.

12/13 FANTASTIC GATE

12/13/2015 Nagoya, Nagoya Congress Center ~U-T Homecoming – 1200 Attendance
0. El Lindaman (6:02 Locomotion Tiger Suplex Hold) Mondai Ryu
1. Jimmy Susumu{W}, Jimmy Kanda (11:13 Jumbo no Kachi!) Takehiro Yamamura{L}, Kaito Ishida
2. Don Fujii (7:22 Choke Slam) “Hollywood” Stalker Ichikawa
3. Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!!, Ryo “Jimmy” Saito{W} (13:31 Double Cross) Masaaki Mochizuki, U-T{L}
4. Dragon Kid{W}, Kzy, Big R Shimizu (16:20 Ultra Hurricanrana) Masato Yoshino, Akira Tozawa, T-Hawk{L}
5. Road to DREAM – TWIN – BRAVE GATE: CIMA{W}, Gamma, Punch Tominaga, Eita (26:01 Jorge Complete) Naruki Doi, YAMATO, Shingo Takagi{L}, Kotoka

VERZERK invaded after the opener. Both sides argued over the big Fukuoka prelude in the main event. Gamma brought up Kotokas’ knee injury. Doi was flustered and wondered how he knew about it. Gamma pointed out that it was written on the official DG website. It isn’t a single match, Kotoka doesn’t have to do much. Quite frankly, Doi, YAMATO, & Takagi will be enough to win easily. All they have to do is go for Punch. He retorted This was not the old Punch Tominaga they used as their slave. He hs been born again in OVER GENERATION. Doi told him he may feel born again, but his flabby body says otherwise.

Mochizuki gave U-T a pep talk. It must be awful to lose at your own homecoming. Since the end of the Millennials, he hasn’t done much while his peers and even the generation after him have made strides forward.
U-T admitted that all was true. He was passed over for entry into OVER GENERATION. His contemporaries all compete frequently while he remains in the dojo. But he will not give up on being a pro wrestler. When they return to Nagoya next year he promises to be in a better position.

MONSTER EXPRESS & Dia HEARTS had a back and forth regarding the upcoming Triangle Gate four way. DK told them that today’s’ result was foreshadowing of what would happen there. T-Hawk generally disagreed.

CIMA taunted Takagi after scoring the win. He’s going to do the same thing in their title match and walk away wearing the Dream Gate championship. Since Takagi typically whines like a little bitch when he loses, CIMA told him to use the time between now and then to carefully craft and practice a better losing speech. Takagi….whined about the result. It took a Gamma cane attack and a bullshit flash cradle to win. This is what the mighty CIMA has become. Of course, the fans would prefer Takagi as champion to this CIMA. All 1200 fans booed.
Next up were the Twin Gate participants. Gamma promised that PT would work hard and get in better shape in time for Fukuoka and use his new conditioning to take the titles. YAMATO told them they weren’t fooling anyone. They don’t stand a chance against the strongest team in history. They weren’t just title belts, they were vital organs. PT can train his fat body all he wants but it won’t do him any good.
Kotoka was his usual obnoxious self, despite not being able to do much of anything in the match due to his injury. With his knee hurt, that probably put Eita slightly closer to his level. But not equal. Because he is the champion. He is the CHAMPION. HE IS THE CHAMP….Eita delivered a dropkick to his bad knee. Kotoka should enjoy saying that while he can because he won’t be able to after 12/27.
Doi told them to enjoy their handicap match victory today, because this is ther last one. When they return to Nagoya next year it will be VERZERK who hold all the gold.

6. Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!!, Jimmy Susumu{W}, Ryo “Jimmy” Saito (17:06 Jumbo no Kachi!) Masato Yoshino, Akira Tozawa{L}, T-Hawk

Doi & Takagi celebrated their interference free win. Does Punch really think he stands a chance in the Twin Gate match? Being popular in the arena and being able to win a big match are two different things. This was his first ever Twin Gate match, wasn’t it? It will also he his last. His chances of winning are somewhere around 1%. The titles will go into 2016 with the strongest team in history.
Takagi once again talked about the great shame he felt in Korakuen. OVER GENERATION would get the same experience in Fukuoka. After failing in their three title challenges they would have no choice but to disband and go into hiding. CIMA said he was in peak condition. He just couldn’t let 2015 end with Takagi as champion. He polled the fans on who they would rather see as champion. All 850 replied “CIMA”.

Susumu used the win over the Triangle Gate champion team as an opportunity to challenge them to a title match. Tozawa was irritated at them thinking one win suddenly qualified them for a title match, but agreed that since it was a direct defeat that the Jimmyz deserved it. The match was set for Fukuoka. Dia HEARTS interrupted. Mochizuki noted that only did DH pick up three straight wins today, but DK pinned Yoshino back in Korakuen last week. That should give them the next title shot. Once again, Tozawa was irritated but after the Jimmyz consented, the title match was made into a 3 way. VERZERK interrupted. Tanizaki pointed out that the Triangle Gate was the only championship VERZERK doesn’t hold. Himself, Kong, & Mondai Ryu wanted in on this. Tozawa was irritated but eventually relented. It was made into a 4 way. Saito promised to finally get revenge on Tanizaki for his betrayal of the Jimmyz. With Kimata in the match they would be eliminated so quickly their names won’t even show up in the results. Mondai Ryu promised that when they come back to Kyoto in the New Year, VERZERK would have all the gold.
Yoshino notes that he was still Owarai Gate champion…

CIMA talked after his win. He promised to not only take the Dream Gate title, but also strip him of that schoolgirl bathing suit he calls a ring costume. He & Gamma won a giant crab for their victory, but since they are allergic to shellfish they gave it to Ishida & Yamamura.

MONSTER EXPRESS celebrated winning their first title since T-Hawk joined. He promised they would rack up a lot of defenses. Yoshino reminded him that he was Owarai Gate champion. They were in pretty bad shape recently, perhaps even coming close to disbandment. But now they have reversed fortunes and they will ride this wave of momentum back to the forefront. He thanked the fans for their support, then deferred the closing of the show to hometown hero T-Hawk.

The pairings for the tournament first round were held at the top of the show. VERZERK were pleased with their lot. Doi asked CIMA if he was really going to try and take them on with two greenhorns as his partners. Their team was a combination of the Dream Gate champion and the greatest Twin Gate champion team in history. Today would be easy. Tomorrow they would finish things off by taking the last title for their collection. The Triangle Gate. They would be the coolest and sexiest while doing so.
CIMA talked mostly about Takagi and their upcoming Dream Gate title match. Fukuoka was pretty far from Sapporo, but anyone who makes the trip will see him shut Takagi up for good. Ishida vowed to win today, to prove that their previous win over the other VERZERK team was not a fluke.

T-Hawk spoke for his team. He simply promised victory for MONSTER EXPRESS. Kzy brought up that there was a Hokkaido native on both sides of their match. This assured the maximum level of tension for the fans. As for the result, of course, it would be Dia HEARTS.

Takagi ran down OVER GENERATION after the win. They were easy prey. Totally worthless. Not just the kids. CIMA & Gamma too. After the indignity he suffered in Korakuen, CIMA was going to have to pay in Fukuoka. He really thinks he can end the Takagi Era so easily? What a fucking joke. He’s a relic of an era that has ended. A relic that is not necessary in the current DRAGON GATE. He can talk all the game he wants. He can get into great shape. Futile. Takagi is going to demolish him and there is nothing he can do about it. That is if the pressure doesn’t scare him out of the match first.
CIMA admitted defeat today. Fine. But Takagi really needed to stop whining like a little bitch about the last Korakuen. There was no pressure. The only thing to think about is what Takagi will have to say after he is beaten. He should also consider changing his ring gear because it looks like a elementary school girls’ bathing suit. That isn’t becoming of a champion. CIMA would be the one to get DG back onto the right path. He would end Shingo Takagi. Because he is CIMA.

The contract signing for the main event was held at the start of the show. Gamma said he finished all his preparations to take down Takagi and take his title. Takagi said he was a real idiot. If someone like Gamma became champion, the entire reputation of DRAGON GATE would be ruined. Surely fans would prefer someone like him as champion, not a comedy jobber like Gamma? He was showered with boos. He lamented the lack of respect. There was simply no merit to letting someone the level of Gamma fight for the title. However, it was his fault that Takagi lost to that piece of shit Tominaga back in Sambo Hall. He will pay him back for that indignity by destroying him today. They can rest assured he would still be champion after the main event.

Problem Dragon & Kong had a bit of a dispute after their match, prompting them to leave separately.

PT celebrated his big win. Gamma would take the Dream Gate later. In Fukuoka, Eita would take out Kotoka for the Brave Gate. That leaves Doi & YAMATO and the Twin Gate. He put them on notice that he was coming for their belts.

The main event spilled to the floor in the late stages. Takagi attempted to power bomb Gamma onto a pile of chairs on one of the platforms, but it was countered into a Gamma special. At the 15 count Gamma finally headed back to the ring but was prevented from re-entering by VERZERK. The match ended in a double countout. Takagi & VERZERK celebrated since it meant the Dream Gate was safe. Fans booed viciously. They chanted for a restart. Takagi told them to shut the hell up. Don’t you idiots understand the rules of pro wrestling? A count out is one of the possible outcomes. Matches don’t have to always end with a pinfall or submission. That is the result of today’s main event. See you on the 16th. Bye. Kotoka was his usual obnoxious self until Referee Yagi snapped and tossed him over the top rope. Who said anything about the show being over? This result just wouldn’t stand. VERZERK prevented Gamma from returning. This wasn’t right. The match would continue. Takagi flatly refused. The result and his 3rd defense was in the books. Get over it. Yagi became even more enraged. Gamma wanted to continue, and more importantly the fans wanted the match to continue. Yagi told him that if he refused to continue that all VERZERK members would have to relinquish their titles. Problem Dragon & Cyber Kong would have to unmask. Furthermore, Tanizaki would have to cut his hair. After all that, the entire unit would be disbanded! Takagi had no choice but to continue.
The restart just as much of a mess. Gamma had Takagi pinned with the Skytwister Press but Kotoka attacked referee Mr. Nakagawa. VERZERK & OG interfered heavily until the match had to be thrown out.

Gamma was vexed. He knew, Takagi knew, and all the fans knew who really won today. But the referees’ decision is the final decision. He was content with the knowledge that if things ended fairly he would have won. As for the task of taking the Dream Gate title from Takagi, he would leave that to someone else. CIMA gave Takagi a Meteora!
Gamma inspired him. He was the next challenger. He would put an end to this nightmarish reign. Takagi wondered just who gave him the right to name himself the next challenger. The one who decides that is the champion. CIMA noted that he lost by countout and was clearly pinned before the referee was taken out. He has no right to refuse anything right now. His only potential answers were “Yes” “Hai” or “Yes, please”. Takagi was furious. Today fucking sucked. This whole thing was bullshit. Fine. CIMA can have his title match. Takagi would vent all his frustrations out in the ring. CIMA promised to close the year out by putting a stop to the Takagi title reign bad ending streak and once again steer the course of DG history onto the right path.

Doi began talking but received a PT Kick. PT, along with Gamma, challenged DoiYAMA to a Twin Gate title match. Doi was irritated at Gamma wanting another title match so soon after challenging for the Dream Gate, but they don’t run from any challenges. They accept.

At this point, it was brought up that the end of the first December Korakuen is the place that the special main event for the second one is decided. It was time for Doi Darts, right? Doi declined. If people were looking forward to seeing Doi Darts this year, too damn bad. He didn’t have time to make a board. Tozawa came out. He chastised Doi for his lack of preparation. Total neglect of duty. Tozawa talked about the various match selection methods used in the past. Doi Darts, the CIMA Royale, Yoshino Lotto, even the Yagi Bread Survival Elimination. It was time for a new one. The Akira Tozawa Treasure Hunt! Tozawa donned a fedora while the Indiana Jones theme played. The rules were simple. Inside each turnbuckle pad were three with names inside. 10 children were selected from the crowd. Each one got to select one pad, then one envelope from the pad. This would decide the special 10 man tag main event for 12/16. For the red corner, it was Arai, Tanizaki, Tozawa, Shachi, & Yoshino. The blue corner will be Kanda, Doi, El Lindaman, Metal Warrior, & Shisa. At the end of this, there were two pads left unselected. Two more kids were pulled from the crowd. The names selected would be the dark match. Gamma & T-Hawk were picked. After some photos and talk, Gamma was left to close the show.

Next year is his 20th anniversary in wrestling. It has been nearly 10 years since he came to DG. When he first came, he received nothing but boos. Today, it was nothing but cheers. Thank you. He went 8 years between Dream Gate challenges, so he can’t really say when he would get to do so again. But at that time, he hoped everyone would once again support this poor 3rd rate wrestler. Uuuuuu!
