The contract signing for the main event was held at the start of the show. Yoshino, as everyone here knew, won King of Gate 2018 yesterday. He had one more step to take. He was going to take the title from Mochizuki today. The 48 year old could then take a much needed rest, knowing the title was in good hands.
Mochizuki said it was a bit early to be saying things like that. He’s had three months to rest up while Yoshino has had nothing but tough matches. He has every advantage today, but he knows not to take Yoshino lightly.

Antias interrupted Gong Kids. A wrestling ring was no place for little kids. They gained the man advantage in the unit disbands match. That pretty much guarantees Over Generation was finished. As for Dragon Kid, the so-called Brave Gate champion. What kind of champion loses so easily? Talk about devaluing the championship. He was going to end this farce of a reign alongside Over Generation. DK said that he was letting this one win get to his head. He wasn’t going to get his hands on the title so easily. This title was a singles title. He had to do it on his own, without his friends. It also takes bravery. If Eita had the courage to come for it, he was welcome to try. He would defend both Over Generation and the Brave Gate. GM Yagi set the match for July 22nd, in Kobe World Hall.

Shimizu celebrated. He called out Doi for talking down to him yesterday. He defended the title today as he said he would. Doi congratulated him on the win. It was a great match. But …Ben was the one who got the pin. Shimizu said that as a veteran, Doi should know that if one member of the team gets the pin it means the team won. They continued this back and forth until Ben-K moderated. There were cameras from local Hakata TV here so they shouldn’t waste their time with this. They can continue in the dressing room. Doi agreed with Ben and asked the fans to cheer for Yoshino in the main event.

King of Gate one day, the Dream Gate the next. Winning would be unprecedented, but Masato Yoshino did it. Mochizuki is an incredible opponent. He doesn’t think he will be able to do what Mochizuki does when he turns 48. Was he even human? He has nothing but the utmost respect for him. Mochizuki said that he was probably a little more active than the average 48 years old, but Yoshino was the one who achieved an inhuman feat. He gets called an Iron Man. Maybe Yoshino should get that title now, too. No one thought he would beat Yoshino back in 2011 and they sure didn’t expect him to beat YAMATO last year. He will be 50 soon and there are probably a lot of people that think him becoming Dream Gate champion again would be bad for Dragon Gate. They are probably right but he doesn’t care. He will never stop coming for the title, even if he is 50 or 60 or any age. As long as he is alive he will be aiming for the top. He congratulated Yoshino on his 4th reign. The title was in good hands.
Yoshino was astonished at his plan to have matches like this when he is 60. Old people are crazy. Go hang out with Don Fujii and take it easy.
The last year and a half have been the longest of his life, but today he stands as champion. For the new fans and the old, he owed this all to them. Winning was just the beginning, he planned on defending it…..Shingo Takagi interrupted.
He can’t believe Yoshino pulled it off. He figured Mochizuki would win here. That poor old man. He got to kick back and rest during King of Gate and he loses to a fluke pin. Actually, YAMATO did too. In fact, Yoshino won all his matches that way. Except for one. When he faced Shingo Takagi he was beaten decisively in the middle of the ring. A champion that can only win via fluke? Once again it was up to Shingo Takagi to save this company from an impending crisis. He didn’t accept Yoshino as champion. Yoshino had two choices. Fight Takagi or hand him the title.
Yoshino wondered why Takagi knew the results of his matches so well. As always, Takagi was mostly full of it but he did get one thing right. He beat Yoshino during KOG. He wasn’t going to run from that. He accepted the challenge. GM Yagi set the match for July 22nd, in Kobe World Hall.
Takagi was pleased at the way things went down. Yoshino should get all his fancy fluke pins ready. It won’t matter. It was unacceptable to have a champion that was fresh off being told to retire by his doctor. He has until World to enjoy this little bit of glory. Then he will be finished off for good. This is what the fans wanted. They were waiting for Shingo Takagi to steer the ship. The huge Takagi chant that he heard was all the proof he needed. (The chant was entirely from Antias at ringside). Yoshino said maybe 1% of the 1500 fans here today were looking forward to it. Singles matches can be lonely, but he had the fans with him. Takagi was right. He had been told to retire by his doctor. The Dream Gate was proof that he was back, 100%.

Antias ran in to cause the no contest in match 3. Over Generation came to make the save. Eita wondered why they were here. This was an Antias/MaxiMuM brawl. This was none of their business! DK said that until their unit disbands match on July 5th, everything Antias does is their business. It was pretty clear what Antias was up to here. They knew Mr. Last Place Yasushi Kanda was going to lose again so they got the match thrown out. Eita told DK that his first match back from his foot injury would be his last.

Saito asked for permission to speak. Next month, on July 5th at Korakuen Hall on 1-3-61 Rakuen, Bunkyo-ku in Tokyo his team would challenge Mr. Horiguchi, Mr. Susumu, & Mr. Sawada for their Triangular Door Waist Straps. Mr. Sawada shouldn’t expect the same result as today. The momentum was still with them. Kzy brought up that Saito did a plancha onto Susumu, who wasn’t even in the match. Saito said that they were at war so it was a sneak attack on a member of the champion team! Saito said that based on the results today, it was clear that the momentum was on their side. Kzy pointed out that if the result was the same as today it would be a Natural Vibes win. Saito continued to insist they had the momentum and when they return to Hakata in August they would be champions.

Maria told Shimizu that he wasn’t her type at all. Contrary to her usual intentions, she was going to take the titles without taking his lips as well. Shimizu was upset at this rejection and wondered why he wasn’t her type. What was wrong with him? There’s not much difference between him and someone like Doi. Doi was irritated at him joking around yet again. He barely got out of the last place tournament and now here he was getting beat on the eve a title match. Shimizu wasn’t phased. In a long career you will have times like this. Doi was flabbergasted. He has only been wrestling for like 5 years! Maybe after 10 he can say something like that. Shimizu gave a half hearted apology and asked Doi to second Big Ben tomorrow. Doi once again turned to Ben=K to talk some reason into him. Ben told Shimizu he was being rude to Doi and he should apologize. Shimizu said Ben made him realize the error of his ways and he was very sorry. He would be more careful in the future.

DK told Eita that he was done taking Over Generation lightly. This was just the first of many wins DK was planning on as payback for Eita knocking him out of KOG. The countdown to the end of Antias has started. There is no card for tomorrow, so it seems like a good place for a bigger fight. Problem Dragon and Mr. Last Place Yasushi Kanda can join in and make it 4 on 4. Eita swore that he kicked out at 2. Whatever. Kanda would be happy to join in. But were they really OK with Problem Dragon on their side? He abruptly attacked and removed his mask. Look at this loser. With him it was still 4 on 3. Gamma said in normal circumstances he would agree but when you do things like attack his mask, he changes. An angry Problem Dragon was as strong as anyone.
GM Yagi made the match, but added some stipulations. The unit disbands match was also going to be 4 vs. 4 so he was upping the stakes. He was adding Naniwa Elimination rules to that match. The winner of the match tomorrow would earn the man advantage during the entry period on July 5th.
Takagi pointed out that DK was clearly still favoring his leg. He was still injured and everyone knows it. Antias weren’t going to wait for the elimination match. They were going to put an end to Over Generation tomorrow.

Yoshino had nothing but praise for YAMATO. His ability and popularity was second to none. He was going to be a centerpiece of the new Dragon Gate. But! Yoshino has been here for 18 years and he had no plans on leaving. He was looking forward to their next 1 on 1 match. Now it was time for the culmination of this one month long war. Masaaki Mochizuki, the time has come. Mochizuki congratulated him on his win. He watched KOG from the sidelines. He’s waited 3 months between title defenses. Yoshino has talked a lot about his 18 year career and whatnot. Mochizuki has 25 years and Yoshino will see what that means tomorrow. Yoshino looks tired and beat up, but he knows what he is capable of and won’t be taking him lightly.

Yoshino had no intention of losing his place whether his opponent is someone more experienced like Mochizuki, or someone younger like YAMATO. It was hard, but he was the one still standing here today. But just standing was difficult. Mochizuki will be fresh tomorrow so he will be the favorite, but Yoshino will give whatever is left in his body to win. Yoshino started to have doubts so he asked if the title match could be postponed until the next Hakata show in August. Doi told him that everyone had their tickets for tomorrow and were looking forward to it. He led a Yoshino chant to try and cheer him up.
Yoshino was properly motivated now. He thanked the fans for their support today. He talked about breaking his back and suffering a hernia in his neck last year. His doctor told him he would have to miss at least a year and should consider retirement. The cheers of the fan helped bring him back home. He hadn’t competed in a singles match in nearly 2 years. He longed to be back in King of Gate. He’s been fighting in this ring since Toryumon and he was going to keep fighting here in Dragon Gate. Maybe it was still a day too early to be giving this speech. He had a tough opponent tomorrow. He promised to win and end the show tomorrow as champion.

Drawings were held at the top of the show to decide the semifinal pairings.
Yoshida reminded everyone what he said on the opening night. This was his tournament. He was going to smash Yoshino today and become champion in Hakata.
Yoshino told Yoshida he was out of place. He would show what he has learned in his 18 year career and once again become Dream Gate champion.
Doi lost in the semifinals last year, so he has no other option besides winning the whole thing.
YAMATO didn’t care who his opponent was. The results would be the same. This is his ring.

Yoshioka has seen his peers find success. Ben-K has become a champion, Shun made a big impression in KOG. It sucks. He and Hyo vowed to not be left behind.

Kagetora & Maria approached Shimizu backstage. Kage wanted to bring the Twin Gate to Tribe Vanguard. Shimizu, seeking revenge for today, accepted the challenge.

Rookie(?) Ryo Saito celebrated the biggest win of his brief(??) career. He asked Mr. Horiguchi, Mr. Susumu, and Mr. Sawada for an opportunity at their Triangular Door Waist Straps. He got a big win today after his successful King of Gate he thought he earned it. Kzy confirmed that he actually meant the Triangle Gate. He did get the win over Susumu today…but what was that about KOG? How many points did he accumulate? Saito confirmed the total was 0. Fujii & K-ness. didn’t even participate! Saito wouldn’t take no for an answer. Eventually, Kzy relented and GM Yagi pounced on the opportunity to make the title match for the July Korakuen.

Ishida told Eita that the beef with Over Generation ended here. For all his talk about OG needing to disband, Antias were the losers today so they be the ones that disband. Eita told Ishida he was getting carried away with this fluke win. They should settle this once and for all with a unit disbands match. Refusing wasn’t an option. Takagi was pleased with Eita finally taking it here. With Yoshida added it would be 4 vs. 3 and an easy win. Gamma refused that stipulation. Hell, with Problem Dragon involved it would basically be 2 on 4. Takagi told him he had 2 options. Accept the 4 on 3 stipulation or disband right now. This brought out Dragon Kid who announced that he would fight to save OG whether his foot was healed or not. Eita quickly kicked him in the foot. Being eliminated from KOG and being forced into the last place tournament was all DK’s fault. He was going to see to it that he ended this feud broken and retired. The unit disbands match was set for July 5th. Ishida promised to protect his unit and it was just the beginning for him.

YAMATO told Yoshino that after Ben-K in Sendai and Doi today, he would be the next member of MaxiMuM to go down. His luck had run out. YAMATO said at the start of KOG and again today that this was his ring. It’s great that he feels that strongly, but Yoshino was around long before him. 18 years. In Hakata he would see what an 18 year veteran is made of. Masaaki Mochizuki, who has somehow been around even longer, would fall next and Masato Yoshino would return to Korakuen Hall on July 5th as Dream Gate champion.
Shimizu awkwardly interjected to berate Doi. He gave Shimizu a tongue lashing in Sapporo after he lost but here he was losing in a Korakuen Hall main event. What’s up with that? Doi told him that his last place finish was a bit different from losing in the semifinals but Shimizu disagreed. If you don’t win the whole thing then you lost. 2nd place and last place are the same thing. Doi was at a loss so he asked Ben-K to try and talk some sense into him. Ben told him he was being rude and to apologize, so he did. Doi was even more puzzled at him listening to Ben but not him. He wanted the ordeal over so he accepted his apology and wished him luck in the last place tournament.

YAMATO closed the show out. He knows what type of opponent Yoshino is. Everyone does. Tokyo is pretty far from Hakata so anyone that can’t make it can watch on the Dragon Gate Network. It was his mission to win KOG and go on to win the Dream Gate to prove this was his ring. The fans should just be quiet and enjoy the ride.
